PROJECT – Exterior brick siding reconstruction

To include: This proposal has been prepared assuming the client authorizes the immediate removal of dangerous materials from the structure and the City of Dallas will allow us to immediately remove the brick, block and sign from the building for safety reasons, then follow with the permitting process- estimated time to complete the construction process 10 (ten) days – not including the Holiday weekend –We need to have Permits approved and City final inspections. Original Construction plans would be appreciated. The Electrical room was inaccessible-used as storage and must be cleared.

 Apply for Permits
 Terminate electrical service to sign
 Barricade work area
 Set Scaffold and plywood as necessary
 Remove brick, glass block and stone safely piece by piece from the roof
    line to the steel lentil (steel support) to include the column that has shifted
    (total area approx 37 lf)
 Remove Subway Sign and place in temporary storage pending City Inspection
    Dates and approval on Masonry. Facility Restoration and Construction Services nor
    any of its' subcontractors will be held responsible for damage, failure or loss to
    your sign. We will do our best to remove and store safely. However, we cannot
    confirm or deny the soundness of the sign in its' current state.
 Inspect and report to customer the cause of the failure and repair if
    necessary upon written change order (the failure may be caused because the sign
    was not secured properly or the supports failed and/or the brick ties were not
    installed properly, etc)
 Install temporary waterproof material if new brick is not readily available.
    (No confirmed or estimated time to locate brick – typically 1-3 days)
 Once NEW brick is delivered install waterproof membrane
 Install brick ties 18 inch centers - (both ways) and flashing
 Install NEW brick – honor control joints and reuse existing stone with
    standard mortar
 Reinstall Subway Sign
 Reconnect the electrical
